The session explores the (spiritual) experience of prayer, meditation and chanting. The participants will be invited to enter into their respective prayer/meditation/chanting for approx 10 mins. The facilitator will guide (and share with) the group to exploring, sharing and learning about some of their experiences and how its affects
them. The group will explore similarities and uniqueness of spiritual experiences.
Farid Bin Abdul Hamid has been facilitating since 1988 when he led a series of expeditions
for youth in Guyana, S.America, working with the Macushi Amerindians in the
Rupununi District. He has trained 150 interfaith dialogue facilitators in Singapore
since 2007. In Singapore, he has trained 300 multicultural/diversity facilitators since
2006. There, he works with schools, the Ministry of Education and the Teacher
training , Nanyang Technological University’s National Institute of Education. He has
also been engaged by clients to facilitate in Nigeria, Bhutan, Philippines, China,
Indonesia and Australia – mostly in the area of diversity-multicultural & interfaith
relations/education. Farid is based both in Singapore and Ballarat, Victoria.
