You can be a parent and a spouse and fill your cup with love, you can do your work and creative projects and fill yourself with passion - yet somehow my friendships have become memories or phonecalls or skype sessions and I try to remember when was the last time I sat with a friend for a chat longer than half an hour face to face. And where are the places that we can even make new friendships instead just business contacts.
Then I think about the AFN conference and the beauty of its separation from the organisational norms that it is a collective of caring individuals who connect annually to build friendships and develop best practice as facilitators. It is actually a priceless event that provides an opportunity for growth and knowledge and a nurturing for the soul to find a place of human connection untainted by technology and united by sacred communication.
I truly encourage all facilitators, presenters and leaders to share in a deeply moving experience that has been lovingly prepared by an enthusiastic and talented team to bring you Indigenous healing for your soul and insights from the ancient wisdom of this country. You are invited to share our way with your way to become a shared way in the spirit of reconciliation and the heart of friendship.
